Canes 17u Baseball (Adams) defeated the Ohio Knits 4-0 on Sunday in the final game as two pitchers combine to throw a shutout. Ben Zink got Sammons to hit into a fielder’s choice to finish off the game.
A single in the first inning got things started when Ethan Watkins hit on a 0-2 count, and scoring a one run RBI.
Kenny Blackmore got the win for the Canes team he three hits and no runs over four innings, Ben Zink came in and threw for three innings and recorded the last nine outs and earning the save for the Canes.
